Architectden.com is a newly launched web portal for the architecture industry, aimed and helping architects attain new project leads from the unlimited network of the internet. The site is also a useful tool for architects and students to use everyday as it provides specific data that is unique only to www.architectden.com.
Throughout the semester, students will have the ability to reference this site as it is teamed up with the specific course syllabi that the students will be studying. Since the site integrates Google Maps and technologies students can use street view to virtually walk a professor through an area during a presentation, providing a virtual environment that supports the reality of the Rome. The building directory of the site maps historic and current projects from around the world, while providing fresh content for the students to read. It also contains each of the buildings that the students will visit and learn about during their studies with the Pantheon Institute.
The student work directory is an unprecedented feature that allows students to post their projects, from any year of school and receive feedback from professors, other students, architects or simply site users. This also acts as a digital portfolio of work that they can use after graduation when seeking employment.
As more people begin to utilize the web for their every need, it becomes more important to be visible in that arena. Architectden allows students and users to post data and rank themselves in Google so they can take part in the new economy of the net.
